Performance and measurement

During 2007 Kingspan Insulated Panels worked with Prologis to create the world's first Planet Positive or carbon negative, building at Pineham, Northampton, which is being used by Sainsbury's as a distribution centre. This involved measuring all the carbon impacts of constructing the building. The scope of the carbon footprint included all materials used to create the building, as well as the on-site enabling, energy use from plant equipment, building fit-out and end-of- life waste emissions. Kingspan Insulated Panels supplied over 20,000m2 of insulated panels for the internal fit out to create temperature controlled storage environments.
