"The performance of the Thermomax solar tubes has been nothing but impressive. We get solar-heated water in record time and there is minimum maintenance required. As we head into our first solar powered winter, we're safe in the knowledge that the Thermomax collectors won't let us down, whatever the weather condition."

Bristol Lido

Freeman's Park Campus, Leicester College, Leicester, UK

"Bristol Lido, the oldest lido in the country, has been transformed into a model of energy efficiency following a two-year restoration. The complex, including a 24-metre open-air swimming pool, now features Thermomax, one of the highest performing solar thermal collectors in the world, which generate up to 70 per cent of the lido’s annual hot water needs."

Milking it from Solar Power

Milking it from Solar Power

"A Carlow-based dairy farm is one of the many businesses experiencing the benefits of being more environmentally-friendly, after recently installing the latest solar water heating technology from Kingspan Renewables."

The milking parlour located in Ballynunnery, recently had a six square metre Thermomax solar vacuum tube system fitted at its plant, tasked with the objective of heating its water, used to clean its milking equipment and milk storage tank.

Substantial Savings with Solar Energy

Substantial Savings with Solar Energy

"As a mechanical engineer, County Down man, Peter Hirsch was impressed when he first witnessed the use of solar power to heat water, in France, over 16 years ago. He was surprised by the high temperature of the hot water on a camping site where an efficient, yet unsophisticated device was using the rays of the sun to produce very hot water."

When he returned to Northern Ireland, tempted on by the possible economic saving and spurred by his 40 year interest in renewable resources, Peter researched solar collectors, flat plates and evacuated tubes. Peter decided on evacuated tubes as the solar collector is insulated from the elements, therefore performance would be greater.
